Information we collect
When you contact us, request event invitations, express membership interest, or complete a membership profile, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, date of birth, membership interest, communication preferences, and the source of your submission.
Stripe processes membership and donation payments on its hosted checkout pages. Plano Young Republicans does not receive or store your full card number.
How we use information
We use submitted information to respond to you, manage membership interest and paid membership records, send information you requested, operate events, maintain an internal roster, prevent duplicate signups, and improve our website and programs.
We normalize email addresses to reduce duplicate records. A later submission may update an existing record, but it will not create duplicate welcome messages.
Email and text consent
We send future email updates only when you explicitly opt in. You may unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email. We do not intentionally reactivate an address that has previously unsubscribed or been suppressed.
Providing a phone number does not enroll you in text messages. Text updates require separate, optional consent, and you may reply STOP to opt out.
Service providers and limited sharing
We use service providers to operate the website and requested services, including Cloudflare for website infrastructure, Stripe for payments and subscription management, and MailerLite for opted-in email. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
A limited private operator alert may be sent when a form is submitted so an authorized PYR operator can follow up. That alert is designed to exclude date of birth, payment information, full street address, and free-text message content. We do not sell personal information.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards and limit access to people who need information for PYR operations. No system is perfectly secure. We retain records only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, legal obligations, and operational auditing.
Third-party links
Our site links to third-party websites and social platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy as our services change. The updated date above identifies the latest revision.
